From his most recent album San Palarino, Charlie A'Court releases his latest single, "Home Is Just A House Now". This song tells the story of being a young child and not being able to understand why they and their family have to leave their home behind. San Palarino is an Americana-driven deep dive into growing older, emotional well-being, and the collective weight bearing down on humanity. Much of the album features co-writes with some of Canada’s top singer/songwriters including Matt Andersen, Terra Spencer, and Colin MacDonald (The Trews). Arguably, one of the most poignant songs ever written by Gord Downie of The Tragically Hip, "Fiddler's Green" is a sad and pensive tribute to lost of loved ones. I was a teen when this song came out and throughout hard times, this song ballad has always brought me some comfort. As painful as it was for Gord to sing this from time to time, I'll always be grateful he had the courage to put pen to paper.
