The Charlie A’Court Scholarship for Excellence in Music offers $500 (CAD) to a Nova Scotian high school graduate who has been accepted into a post-secondary institution to continue his/her music education. Deadline to apply for this year is Friday, April 8, 2022.
CASEM was created by Charlie A’Court and launched in 2017. As a means to celebrate young musicians, CASEM helps foster the future of world-class musicianship Nova Scotia has come to be known for.
CASEM is partnered with the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development as part of a larger suite of awards. Known as the Minister’s Awards for Creative Excellence in Arts, the awards are designed to recognize students who have excelled in the creative arts discipline.
Grade 12 students from across Nova Scotia planning to pursue post-secondary studies in creative arts are encouraged to apply for one of the four scholarships offered in the Minister’s Awards.
The suite includes The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia Award for Excellence in the Visual Arts ($1000), Excellence in Performing Arts ($1000), Excellence in Digital Media ($1000), and CASEM ($500 and a mentor opportunity with Charlie A’Court).
