As Nova Scotia Music Week wraps up in Yarmouth, NS, Music Nova Scotia hosted its awards brunch and announced the winners.
Charlie’s latest album, “San Palarino”, was named Americana / Bluegrass Recording of the Year.
Produced by fellow nominee, Chris Kirby of Funk Island Lab, the new album has been critiqued as some of Charlie’s most personal writing and celebrated for it’s open air honesty. On a post on social media Charlie writes, “San Palarino came from a heavy place. Chris was there to help me lean into it and bring some of these emotions to the surface, lay them bare and put a few pieces back together.
The album is what it is because of a producer like Chris. I’m so proud of him and what we created together.”

Charlie will be performing next at the Antigonish Jazz Festival on November 13.
