Charlie A’Court keeps moving forward with his latest album, San Palarino, with the release of his latest music video for “Home is Just a House Now”. Directed by Matt Corkum (FadeToWhite Photography), this ballad blends A’Courts contemporary songwriting with his roots upbringing. A’Court tells the story of a young child struggling to understand why he and his family have to leave his childhood home behind.
“I moved around my hometown a little bit when I was younger and it took many years before I felt like I was back home”, A’Court explains. “That experience is what helped me empathize with the sentiment and story of this song.”
A’Court recalls, “I had written it many years ago and the last verse had different lyrics which ultimately didn’t resolve the story for the main character. I took it to my dear friend, Chris Kirby and we rewrote parts of the last verse to allow for the potential of a happier ending.”
